Frequently Asked Questions
While we provide both services in your home, Home Health Care and Home Care are separate types of care. Think of the difference this way: Home Health is a benefit covered by Medicare for clinical care from skilled medical professionals, and Home Care is nonclinical, fee-for-service assistance from aides.
If you meet specific criteria and have a physician’s order, you may be able to receive in-home care like nursing rehabilitation therapies and specialized care by experienced Gulf Coast Village home healthcare providers (see services listed above under Home Health). We can help you find out if what you need qualifies under your Medicare health insurance, as well as show you all your options.
If you ever have to go to the emergency room, you don’t have to go alone. Call us and we’ll send an ER companion who will meet you at the hospital. This personal aide is available 24/7 and will stay with you throughout your visit, helping with admittance, transportation, and other tasks such as picking up items from home and bringing them to you.
We can assist your immediate needs after a hospital stay with a package of services that may include transportation, grocery shopping, prescription pick up, shower assistance and meal prep. These simple services can make all the difference as you ease your way back into your daily routine.
