At Gulf Coast Village, Living Well is not just a program — it’s our philosophy, a way of life, and a promise to help residents live a healthier and happier life now and into the future. 

 

We encourage residents to be active and independent by participating in fun and exciting activities to nurture mind, body and spirit. That’s the pathway to optimum health, and achievable through our six dimensions of wellness based on each person’s capabilities, needs and desires.

Dimensions of Wellness

Good health and true happiness can be achieved by embracing our six dimensions of wellness. 

  • Physical 
    Engaging in at least 30 minutes of physical activity on most days and other preventative approaches. 
     
  • Social 
    Interacting with family, friends, and others in fun activities that stimulate the mind, body and spirit. 
     
  • Intellectual
    Encouraging a cognitive mind through various fun activities such as problem-solving, critical thinking and creativity. 
     
  • Spiritual 
    Valuing, believing and living spiritual beliefs every day, or finding inner peace through thoughtful exercises such as meditation. 
     
  • Emotional 
    Being happy, sharing with others, and engaging in positive actions and thoughts. 
     
  • Vocational 
    Yearning to learn new ideas, philosophies or skills, and being well informed.
